Support my mullet to help prevent suicide

I'm growing my mullet this April for Black Dog Institute's Mullets for Mental Health.

1 in 5 Australians will experience mental illness in their lifetime. Over 75% of mental health problems occur before the age of 25.

My mullet and funds raised will help us drive real change and fund ground-breaking mental health research. This will put digital services and education into the hands of people who need it the most.

It would mean a lot to me if you donated to support my mullet.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

I’m only annoyed that you’ll be able to 100% pull off a mullet when I can’t. God speed.🫡

Friday 8th May

May donations and poster

Sunday 3rd May
Mullets for Mental Health may have wrapped up for April, but donations will remain open throughout May. If you’ve been meaning to contribute, there’s still time, and sharing this post or the campaign poster I created below would be greatly appreciated. Continued visibility helps extend the impact beyond the month itself! Thank you again to each and every person who has supported this fundraiser so far 🤍🧡🖤

Just wanted to show you all the very drastic before and after transformation 🎨🫟✂️ I spent most of the month building up to this, and now, a week since the big change, it’s been so nice actually getting used to the new hair and seeing how it fits into day to day life. The adjustment has felt a lot easier than expected, and I’ve been loving the look more and more as times gone on 💇🏼‍♀️😻 Huge credit to Rhubarb & Me Salon for the cut and colour, and to the Black Dog Institute for the awesome merch featured in some of these shots!!

Mullet wrapped 2026

Friday 1st May

As Mullets for Mental Health comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on this past month and feel genuinely overwhelmed, in the best way, by the level of support behind this fundraiser 🤍

What started as a simple goal quickly became something much bigger than expected. Together, we almost doubled the original fundraising target, and even more incredibly, this campaign reached within the top 100 fundraisers for the year 🏆 That speaks volumes about the people who got behind this.

This fundraiser supports the Black Dog Institute, whose work in mental health research and suicide prevention is so important. Contributing to evidence-based research, early intervention, and better support systems is something that truly matters, and it’s been a privilege to play even a small part in that.

On a personal note, I’d genuinely never done anything like this with my hair before. Taking the plunge into a mullet felt like a big change I’d always wanted to make but hadn’t quite committed to, and this gave me the push I needed 💇‍♀️

Throughout the entire month, before, during, and after the cut and colour, the support has been incredible. The encouragement, generosity, and kindness from so many people has not gone unnoticed, and it’s made this experience all the more meaningful ✨

To every single person who donated, thank you. Whether it was a large contribution or a few dollars, it all added up to something significant. The collective impact is what made this possible, and I’m so grateful for it 🙏

I’m really proud to have been part of this, and even more grateful to be surrounded by such a supportive community.

And for those wondering, the mullet isn’t going anywhere anytime soon… this is only the beginning of the fun hair journey 🤣
