Shaving my mullet to help others feel okay to not be okay
Hi, my name is Rueben, and I’m 10 years old.
I already have a mullet — and not just any mullet. It’s my pride and joy and a big part of who I am! I’ve been growing it for a long time, and everyone knows me for my mullet.
This year, I’m taking part in Mullets for Mental Health to help raise money for the Black Dog Institute, so they can support people who are struggling with their mental health, including kids and families.
Here’s the big challenge:
👉 If I reach my fundraising goal, I will shave off my mullet!!
That’s a huge deal for me but I know mental health is even more important than my hair. If shaving my mullet can help start conversations and raise money to help others, then it’s worth it.
