Support my mullet to help prevent suicide
I''ve grown it and now I'm rocking my chic mullet everyday April for Black Dog Institute's Mullets for Mental Health.
My mullet and funds raised will help us drive real change and fund ground-breaking mental health research. This will put digital services and education into the hands of people who need it the most.
It would mean a lot to me if you donated to support my mullet.
Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.
My Impact
This year I have helped provide
8
people with suicidal thoughts help when they need it most.
Funds raised over the years
My Updates
Why I support the black dog institute.
Wednesday 25th Mar For my own experience with mental healthas a person who unknowingly masks a lot of symptoms, once I became aware of what possible undiagnosed illnesses I had - I was insightful and proactive enough to start charting my moods.
That's where BDI came into my life properly, before then I had only used them as a general source of information but when I discovered the resources my life changed.
The bipolar mood chart was the tracker I needed to show clinicians what had happened in the last 3-4 weeks
YES I was manic and added all my own little extra trackers but tis is exactly why I believe that the money donated is truly going to a good place. The team can have the resources to tweak these charts and create others tailored to specific disorders
I honestly support the BDI and without them I wouldn't have known how to deal with Johnny let alone myself in times of crisis
Donations mean more than you know xo
For Johnny
Wednesday 25th MarDedicated to Jonathan Stevens ~ (1995 - 2024)
if you knew Johnny you would know he absolutely loved a mullet - and so I'm asking you to do this for him, as I am too.
The mullet was his THING and I'll upload some pics with him in his prime mullet stages.
The black dog institute is actually so helpful and so I hope you can support them in Johnny memory because they really helped a lot in times of need for both Johnny and myself as a loved one with bipolar and schizophrenia.
They truly are amazing and I believe they deserve all the funding they can get
