Support my mullet to help prevent suicide
Last September I lost my best mate to suicide. It’s something that changed my life forever. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him, the memories we shared, and the kind of person he was.
After losing him, I went through a really dark time myself. Grief, confusion, and the feeling of wishing I could’ve done more weighed heavily on me. It showed me just how real and serious mental health struggles can be, and how much support people sometimes need behind the scenes.
That’s why I’m doing Mullets for Mental Health. I’m growing a mullet and raising money to help start conversations about mental health and support the people who are struggling.
If sharing my story or rocking a ridiculous haircut helps even one person reach out, check in on a mate, or realise they’re not alone, then it’s worth it.
There is always help out there. Talk to someone, check in on your friends, and remember that you don’t have to go through tough times on your own.
I’m doing this for my mate, and for everyone who might be fighting battles we can’t see. 💙
