Support my mullet to help prevent suicide
This April, I’m growing a mullet for Mullets for Mental Health, supporting the Black Dog Institute.
Mental illness touches more of us than we realise. One in five Australians will experience mental illness in their lifetime, and more than 75% of mental health challenges begin before the age of 25. Those numbers aren’t abstract. They represent people we love, people we work with, and people who are still finding their footing in the world.
By committing to this truly questionable hairstyle, I’m hoping to help fund research that leads to real, practical change. The funds raised support evidence-based mental health research, digital services, and education, getting support to people who need it, when they need it most.
If you’re able to donate, it would genuinely mean a lot to me. Every contribution helps, and every conversation sparked matters.
Together, we can help build better mental health outcomes for all Australians.

Something I’ve been thinking about:
Most of us have someone in our life who is “always fine.”
The reliable one. The capable one. The strong one.
They need checking on too.
If someone comes to mind as you read this, maybe send them a quick note today. If that person is you, take a deep breath and remember to be kind to yourself.
It matters more than we realise.
I'd also like to take a moment to thank those of you who have donated, it means a lot to me but more to the people who are given much needed help by The Black Dog Institute.
Whether or not you can donate, please make time to check in on somebody near you.
