Support my mullet to help prevent suicide
This April, I’m growing a mullet for Black Dog Institute’s Mullets for Mental Health 🖤✂️
Yeah, the mullet will look ridiculous but the reason behind it is something that’s very real to me.
1 in 5 Australians will experience mental illness in their lifetime, and over 75% of mental health challenges begin before the age of 25. I’m not just sharing that as a statistic — I’ve lived it.
I’ve had my own battles with mental health and have gone through some pretty dark times. Times where things felt heavy, overwhelming, and hard to talk about. I know how isolating it can feel, and how important it is to have the right support around you.
That’s why I’m doing this.
The money raised will go towards groundbreaking research, digital support services, and education programs through the Black Dog Institute — helping get real support into the hands of people who need it most.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would genuinely mean a lot to me. And if you can’t donate, sharing this or just checking in on someone in your life can make a bigger difference than you realise.
This mullet isn’t just a haircut — it’s a conversation starter.
Let’s help create better mental health for all Australians. 💙
