Spark a conversation
As my curls grow…
In length
bounce
and tightness
This year
a sparkling
lightning bolt
runs the distance
along the bare shaved sides
of my luscious dark curls
In fact
'Curly Whirly Aunty Angela'
has been around
for over three decades
That’s sparked lighting speeds of conversations
taking place -
from the workplace
all the way to the beach front
We all know
the stigma of suicide and mental illnesses
is beyond our wildest minds
This is why
Mullets for Mental Health
aims to empower all of us -
to talk out loud
about how we can prevent
and help another out
The life of a mullet
takes special hair care time
meaning
I can use my lived experience
in positive ways
via the strength of my mullet crew
reaching far and wide
to spark more conversations
Not only will we reduce the stigma of suicide and mental illnesses
yet your funds will support
Black Dog Institute
as they drive real change and funds for ground-breaking mental health research
I support them!
I hope you will too!

Lightning strike or Sydney Opera House?
Friday 27th Feb
makes others look twice!
What is that razor sharp tattoo
embedded on the side of your head?
That’s the mental question
that’s sometimes spoken out loud
My niece asked me the bold question
just the other day
She said,
‘you have a lightning strike
on the side of your head!’
I replied with,
‘yes that’s true. Or could it be
the Sydney Opera House?’
And that’s how we started our conversation
via a spark of inspiration
You too
can spark a mental health conversation
with someone new
you never know the wonders
it can do
