Support my mullet to help prevent suicide
I feel privileged to be part of a remarkable movement, spreading awareness for mental health each year by participating in mullets for mental health. This year, we are fortunate that the Black Dog Institute have allowed us to open our fundraiser page early to maximize sponsorships.
Throughout my life, I have battled serious mental health issues, from Panic Disorder to depression. I have had a best mate take his own life, a poignant reminder of the importance of speaking out. I know that as a man, it can be tough to acknowledge that you are not doing okay, but I'm here to tell you that this is a sign of strength, not weakness. By speaking out and seeking help, we can break down the stigma surrounding mental health. I want my mullet to be a conversation starter, encouraging others to talk about mental health.
This is my 5th year of participating in this cause. This year I am hoping to give you all a funky mullet with a meaningful pattern in the side. I will be hoping to raise a minimum of $750 for this wonderful cause.
It's okay to not be okay, but it's not okay to stay silent.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, is invaluable in helping towards men's mental health research and support.
