Support my mullet to help prevent suicide

I'm growing my mullet this April for Black Dog Institute's Mullets for Mental Health.

1 in 5 Australians will experience mental illness in their lifetime. Over 75% of mental health problems occur before the age of 25.

Personally witnessing so many peers struggle like myself, its services like the black dog institute that truly provide support, compassion, and a way to progress. They're not some hotline with a cold voice on the other end of the phone. They go to massive efforts to be alongside those struggling and walk alongside them back to the light and out of the dark, deep helpless and cold fog thats swallows you whole and steals your soul making you question you're true self. There is a huge gap in the MH system, you shouldn't be in a crises on the edge ready to jump before they Barely catch you and thats if they do catch you and listen and even then most the time they throw the whole DSM at you medicating you to complete numbness and wipe their hands clean. Ticking boxes to say they've done there duty of care when they really just push you deeper and further away from reaching out again, in fear of reliving the foggy chemical nightmare they call "care". Stripping you of your freedoms and ability to have control over your own treatment and health there doing the bare minimum the public MH system has a massive gap in continuity of care, and not many (if not most) people can afford the alternative of going private just so they live day to day by paying several hundred an hour out of pocket (yeah there's Medicare rebates, MH plans but they don't bridge that gap that blackhole the government calls a functioning support system. It can take years, lots of time putting into practice healthy coping mechanisms  just to finally regain some control and be able to regulate yourself effectively. Shouldn't have to be paying out the ass to keep your head barely above water.

Now those who are close to me already know my own struggles with GAD,MDD and trauma (although its only mild it rears its ugly head at the most unexpected times). So changing my appearance will be a personal challenge  ut what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. And its ok to be unique and different we all have a purpose and reason to keep fighting even though we dont fit societies cookie cutter mould or expectations we all have a gift no matter how big or small.
