Wright x Bruce 'Cuts for a Cause'

Wright x Bruce Cuts for a Cause is a community-led event bringing students together to turn something simple, a haircut, into something meaningful.

On the night, residents from Wright and Bruce Hall will be cutting, shaving, and transforming their hair to raise money for the Black Dog Institute. From bold new styles to full shaves, every change represents a shared commitment to supporting mental health and those affected by it.

Mental health is something that impacts people across all walks of life, and university can be a time where pressures quietly build. This event is about more than just fundraising - it’s about starting conversations, showing support for one another, and breaking down the stigma that still surrounds mental illness.

The Black Dog Institute is a leading organisation dedicated to improving mental health through research, education, and support services, with a strong focus on reducing suicide and creating lasting change. The funds raised will contribute to programs and initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives.

By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping to turn a moment of courage and community into tangible impact.

Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
